Accessing Macro Via Microsoft Explorer

I have recently written a macro that is saved within a particular workbook containing a V Lookup within the code. I have been able to access the workbook and run the macro successfully via microsoft explorer and by opening the file directly through excel.

Yesterday I suffered some network problems and am now restored to the local network however I can no longer run the macro via explorer successfully. In order for the v lookup within the macro to work I have to access the file through excel.

Has anyone had any similar experiences to this and can offer some advice?
