My client has come up against the following issue: When he connects crystal to one of his existing Informix ODBC Datasource connections, he don't see all the tables that he has. He has a second datasourse that behaves simililarly. Yet the remaining three datasources are o.k. The only thing he can tell for sure about the two datasources that don't seem to work properly is that they have a good deal more tables. We're probably talking in the range of 8000
tables on the datasources that work and at least 15,000 on one of the datasources that doesn't work.

The question is: Is there any limitation as to the number of
tables crystal can associate with any given datasource? Specifically when using SQL Server ODBC?

The limit's around 10,000. This is also a big problem with Baan - it has umpteen tables.
The workaround is to select 'Reprompt user when connecting' in the database tab of the option dialogue. This will prompt the user to do a table name Like. Andrew Baines
