Open G/L Setup Options, Account and check the Use G/L Security checkbox.

Use G/L Security
G/L Security is an option in the General Ledger program that provides account level security for your general ledger accounts.

With G/L Security, you can assign account access rights to individual users to control which accounts they can view and work with to minimize the risk of unauthorized activities.

You can block off entire account segments or only the most sensitive accounts (for example, Payroll, Sales, Retained Earnings, Common Stock and Preferred Stock).

Once you turn on G/L Security, you can set the default account access:

All Accounts. Allows all Sage Accpac users unrestricted access to General Ledger accounts (unless the Administrator sets up individual restrictions in G/L Account Permissions).

No Accounts. Prevents all Sage Accpac users (except user ADMIN) from seeing accounts and account data in General Ledger and subledger applications (unless the Administrator grants individual access rights to accounts in G/L Account Permissions).

Even if the user has Journal Posting rights, they cannot post batches when G/L Security has been set to No Accounts unless the Administrator grants individual access rights to all accounts specified in the batches in G/L Account Permissions.

To restrict access to specific accounts and segments for individual users, open the Account Permissions icon in the Accounts folder.
