Hi , I need soem help

Ive not connected to an ISDX for 15+years and now have a role where i need to obtain the user details from one. what tyep of cable do I need, can I just disconnect the cable for the tty or the DB25 way connector box on the "wall", What are the putty settings

many thanks

Well it depends on the vintage.
The older ones were 300 Baud at one time running out to a thermal printer
I suggest you try 9600 8N1NN to start with
If you get to the OSL prompt then you are ready to get started
You need a 25 to 9 way null modem cable
Some versions only have the MMI working on some of the 25 way ports.
Is there any local knowledge available on this ?

It is a large organisation, some of the isdx even are labels as gpt, Mercury so potentially 20+years old unless they have been upgraded during that. Would any 25to 9way cable work or does it have to be specific. I obtained an old grey 25 to 9 way cable, the type with multiple ends fro a site so I'm hoping that should be ok

Pressing return, should show me the osi login promote?
I threw all my isdx books away thinking I never need them now

Yes, one of the modem cables from HiPath 4000 with the multiple ends on it should work.
If you get the OSL prompt then you will need the code to get in.
