Hii

I want to know if some one can help me out .. my problem is
1- i want to access an image throuh scanner using C#.net
2- and then i want to scan a specific area of the image .
can anyone help me out ..

a scanner is just another input device. you will need an API for the scanner. If one exists it would come from the vendor.

u r right . but i wan know the way windows gets the installed scanners list then to get the data from selected device

way windows gets the installed scanners list
probably the same way it gets the mouse, printers, key board, and any other devices. via the driver.

then get the data from selected device
this is specific to the driver.

If the vendor allows for programmatic access then you will need the vendors API.
