I have tomcat standalone running on RH9.
A jsp page creates a new account on mysql then creates an apache user using htpasswd.
the jsp page appears to be fine, the user is created and no errors that i can find are generated. The entry is not created in the password file.
I have a test class for the class which does the calling of htpasswd and user/password creation and when run through this the class operates correctly.
I am a compete newbie to linux and tomcat and am guessing i have a permissions problem. with this in mind all relevant files have been chmod 777'd (bad I know but I just need to get it working).
Any suggestions gratefully recieved
