I have OWA 5.5 and exchange server 5.5 installed on a primary domain controller (win NT machine). This machine is on the internal network but I need users to be able to access exchange from the outside without using vpn. What is the best method for this? It's behind a linux firewall.

James.

you'd need to open some ports on the firewall specifically for OWA and also configure the firewall to forward any requests for those ports to the exchange server.

I would suggest using ssl with OWA, but the recommended configuration uses 2 mains. 1 accessible from the internet which is located in the DMZ, and the exchange server located on the internal network. Craig
