accessing domains with net use

i am running 2 servers fs01 and fs02
i wish to use a logon script to access server fs02 from fs01
i have tried using
net use h: \\fs02\staff\%username% and it come up ok but everything is read only. i have checked the folders and files to make sure they are shared correctly.

if i use net use h: \\fs02\staff\%username% * to hopefully give the permission to use the folders the drive disappears.

any help greatly appreciated

Do you get the correct privs when accessing it via UNC path? If not then double check you Share and NTFS permissions again. Also try it from another machine.

You can also check your effective permissions on FS02.

You can also try the /user switch.
