I have this odd problem, I'm not sure if it just me or not..

We have Portal Server 2003 installed.. now it is Portal Server 2007 as well (no difference)...

On the workstation side I was first using XP x64 with 2003 Office, now I'm using Vista RTM x64 with Office 2007.

So if I access the document libraries via the backdoor method.. ie: \\intranet\area1\doclibrary\ etc.. I can access the word/excel documents inside via an explorer window, rather than using the web browser...

Every once in a while if I try to access an Office Document my machine will lock up.. often times for good, requiring a hard reset.. or sometimes I will get lucky and be able to wait about 10 minutes until control is restored... Keyboard commands/mouse etc do not respond when this happens.

Has anyone else experienced this.. I'm wondering if it is an x64 issue.. or strictly some weird bug with Portal and Office...

Thanks!
