ACCESSING CISCO 2514

I got a cisco 2514 that was given to me. I'm planning to take some classes on Cisco. What do I need to access this router? What type of cable, login and password?

you need a roleover(blue) cable, that connects to your PC's serial port.

if the router has a pass word on it, you will have to perform password recovery on it. You can look that up at cisco.com

 

[SYSTRON]

if you need one fairly quickly just look on ebay under "Cisco Console Cable" oh yea the intergrated DB9 is a lot better than the older 2 pc set.
