Accessing Access 2000 DataBase using Visdata In VB6

I am trying to open a Database created with access 2000 from my vb6 app. However when I try to make the connection I get an error message telling me that it is an unrecognisable format. Can anyone tell me of the where abouts of a patch for this or indeed any work about. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.<br>

VB6 cannot work with databases created in Access 2000, so I read in MSDN, you should try ADO connection instead or use the ODBC driver.<br>
