Accessing A Lotus Notes database

I have recieved a Lotus notes .nsf file which I can not open as a database because it says that I am unauthorized. Is there anyway around this or will I have to get the original database changed.

No way to around it. The manager of the DB has to give you access to it first or set the default access to at least reader.
