I have created a parameter query, which I can access from a form with a combo box.
(see: The idea is to allow users to select from a predefined list. This works great when I access (no pun intended) it via the form, but if I try to run the query (parameter) I get the all too familiar text box. Any suggestions how to get the form to run when the query is run?

Many thanx,

A query will not open a form. Open the form before you open the query.

Perhaps I'm thinking about this the wrong way. What I want to do is design a parameter query with a user friendly (ie. for the non-technically minded) drop-down box that presents a predesigned choice, ideally from an editable lookup table.
The idea is that the user clicks a button (to open a report), which activates the appropriate parameter query at which point the user is presented with a nice, easy to use combo box (instead of the easy to mistype text box) and 'ok' button to input the correct parameter. Hey presto: user's happy and I look like a hero.

Any suggestions?

Has previously stated, the form with the nice combo must be open and populated by the user when the query is launched.
A simple way is to have the OK button is this form to launch the report based on the parametized query.

Hope This Helps, PH.
