Have installed a runtime version of an application built on access 2000 on a network. The database is split, with the data file (tables ) on the network and application on workstations. Some of the workstations are running an additional application built on Access97. After installing the runtime version the Access97 application, when first launched asks to convert to 2000. Answered NO, as this is developed by another developer who supports his product. ON this workstation the access97 application would not work. Have uninstalled the runtime and recopied into the workstation the access97 application which now again works. There is some type of conflict or runtime 2000 overwrites something that prohibits access97 (full version) from running. I Am told there is a file or two that needs to be altered, anybody know what the solution is?
