I have an ACC2000 DB for which the original programmer has left the company. The query written only allows the query to be executed 20 times, then a message pops up and the user has to exit the query and come back in. Is this a case of some buried VB code limiting the iteration count, or is there somewhere else I should be looking? Thanks, KSDADGUY.

If there is some hidden code executing the query the programmer would have had to 'refer to the query by name.

so go into modules open up any modules in design then do a find on the query name. Don't stop at the first one not down the module name and function or sub it is contained in.

Repeat the find process until no further results can be found

This should give you a starting point.

Now within each of these you are looking for a count of 20,

bearing in mind this may be a count of something in a collection or records in a dataset so the digit 20 may not be relevant, unless you know to which data set it is referring then you can look for this also.

This could be a starting point

Hope it helps

Jo,

Thanks for the info. I'll check it out. I figured the old programmer put a counter loop of some kind, but didn't know where to start looking
