Hi there,

I imported a table from Oracle8i database to Microsoft access 97. There is field with date which is giving import errors. CouldI get the date format used in Access.

Thanks in advance

ACCESS can understand any common date format such as mm/dd/yyyy and many more. But, if the format is not recognized due to the way it is being stored then maybe we need to create a interim table with record ID and DateString. Then in your other database run a query to put the date in the DateString field in the mm/dd/yyyy format. Access can then import that in and through and update query put the date in its proper place with the rest of the data.

Just a though for a workaround.
