I have an Access XP database that corrupted while I was working on it. I hit the "Cancel" button by mistake when I was prompted that Access was crashing. Now I cannot fix the database. I was working on VBA code for a report at the time of the crash, now I cannot see any VBA code for any form or report and I get a message to repair the database. When I attempt to repair the database it will not repair. I have downloaded and used the JETCOMP utility from Microsoft and it will not repair the file either. Any advise would be appreciated.

I am a little confused: An MDE file has had the VBA code and ability to access form and report design removed. Any changes to the code and form / report design must be done in the source MDB and the MDE recreated.

Try compacting if the repair won't work to the MDB (but take a copy first) as this sometimes fixes weird problems as well.

Assuming that you were doing your work in an MDB database, and the standard compact and repair tools won't fix it, the best I can do is to try creating a new database and importing each of the objects into the new database from the old.

Sorry, it is an MDB, I did try to import the objects into a new blank database, but I keep getting the same database corrupt message and nothing comes in...
