I have run a query in my Access database which uses the long date format. This field is used in a word document to confirm appointment date. Whatever I do the word document inserts the date as 16/11/00 instead of 16 November 2000. Everything in Accesss reads long date ie) the form and table that the query looks up. Any suggestions please.

Hi,

Have you checked the default date format in regional settings, is it set to long date format.

I believe that word uses the windows default format.

Paul

Sorry,

Didn't explain myself very well.

Try setting the short date format to dd/mmmmmmmm/yyyy

That may help.!!

Thanks Paul setting the short system date in regional settings as you suggested has worked!
