Access with Sharepoint

Hi - It has been a while since I have used Access but I know that with Access 2010, I can't use MDE's. I tried to create a simple list in sharepoint to manage report request in our department. I'm finding that I can't really use field level security in sharepoint 2010. I'm wondering if I will be able to have field level security if I use access an publish the databsae to sharepoint. Is that possible? Basically, I want users to be able to:

1. See their own requests but not other peoples requests
2. I want certain fields to be read only for users
