I'm an avid Access user as well as programmer. I've noticed Microsoft peddles another db product, FoxPro. What advantages, if any, does it hold over Access?
Fox has the fastest db engine out there. Also Fox is fully Object Oriented. You can create and distribute fully functional executables, with no additional software. I'm sure there are more advantages, but those are the three biggies that come to mind. I've used both Access and FoxPro for a number of years now and definitely prefer VFP.
I refrain from saying "ditto" Omega36. However, your responses in the Microsoft: Visual FoxPro (versions 3.0 and higher) Forum indicate that each has its place. BTW, I'm in desperate need of a door stopper. Pete Bloomfield
