If voicemail is set up for an extension which has its own ddi can you listen to the voicemail remotely?

Yes, I have this set up with VM Pro in IP Office mode.

user can press 8 to interrupt the greeting and enter passcode. Passcode is a requirement for listening to vm remotely. If there is no passcode you will hear an error.

I was just reading an old post which said to press *7 when you are in the voicemail box for that particular extension. This is using embedded voicemail.

It is *7 on VM Pro in Intuity mode, it will then ask for your ext and # sign, then password and # sign.

Ok thanks, if anyone knows how you access with embedded voicemail in ip office mode that would be great.

If you have an Auto Attendant answering incoming calls you can program a digit to Transfer to *17. The subscriber simply presses that digit when they call into the AA, for example the * key, they will then be prompted to enter mailbox number, password etc.

Create a short code. Like this= Code *17, Feature voicemail collect, Tel number "?" ,line grp 0.

Then under your Auto Att Actions set * or whichever you chose to Normal Transfer to * 17, or whatever short code you used
