Access voicemail from outside office

Can a user access their voicemail box from outside the company as you could on the norstars & BCM's to retreive messages?
Also does a end user guide exist for the nortel phones on the UCx, i.e. there is no F980 and pick up is a pain. Just looking for some guidelines that may already exist where I dont have to reinvent the wheel.

Sure you can access your mailbox from outside. Just call your extension, press * when listening to your "unavailable message" and then when prompted enter your voicemail password.

Instead of F980, you can dial the Voicemail Direct Dial Prefix (#* by default) followed by the extension (for example #*221 to leave a message for 221 without calling the extension 221).

I never had any problems with pickup - can you elaborate?
