HI I'm new at this so be gentle- I have inherited a database which was created using access 2, I have updated to access 2003 - however the front end seems to have been created using an earlier version of Crystal Reports - I want to update this - can it be done using a newer version of Crystal Reoprts if so how do I go about it (never came accross this problem before!!
Many Thanks

How much earlier?

CR8.5 (for example) reports can be processed without much change by later versions of Crystal. Somewhere around 8.0 or 8.5 however, Seagate introduced a radical change in the programming interface tools (specifically they dropped the Crystal Viewer OCX and introduced the Crystal Report Designer (dll) object.) If your project is still based on the old OCX then reports developed with newer releases probably won't run.
