Access - Turning off/Deleting Autonumber in Tables

How does one delete/change or stop autonumbering in an Access table? It appears to be a secret. I have tried to eliminate the relationships to the different tables, but nothing seems to do the trick.

Have you tried not defining that field as your key?. That might do it. QUOTE OF THE DAY
