I have a Merlin Legend v7. All the in/out are going thru
t1 line. I have two port VOIP box that I connected to the FXS ports to the 408mlx CO trunk line(801 & 802). I have also added these lines to pool 70(linetrunks-->pools-> same pool as the T1 lines).
I have added 801 and 802 to the routing table to the auto attendant(Intuity Audix).
Now, my question is, what will I need to do to access to trunk 801 and 802 from a phone? I don't know how to program access code to get to these trunk line.
Please help, details would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Put the two VoIP trunks in a pool, say 895, and then on each extension used to access the VoIP trunks, put an "ARS dial-out code" of 895, that will allow them access to thee trunks, if either are available. If you want all the inbound traffice to go to the Intuity, rebuild your autoattendant routing table to do the appropriate action for 801 and 802.

Pepperz,
Thank you for your prompt response. I was very surprised to get an kind of response within minutes.

I will do according to your suggestion when I get back to the office.

My next question is: the voip also has 2 FXO ports that I am trying to make use of. What cards do I connect them to?

Thanks again in advance.

Pepperz,
According to your suggestion, I programmed these two trunks in pool 890 and then program 890 into group calling.
Assigned each extension to be able to dial to 890.
Programmed 801-802 in the audix routing table to the auto-attendant.
Tested it out and worked great both in and out. I am able to get dial tone after dialing 890 and then press *100(programmed number to call overseas voip box).

For FXO ports:
I connected one of the FXO port to one of the port(7180)from 016 card. I could hear it ring but does not go anywhere.
Does anyone has any idea how to use FXO ports?

I believe the FXO ports are for "Foreign Exchange Office", and these may be used for tie lines to elswhere. If this is true (Check your mfg. literature), they would be able to go to an E&M card if you had one on your Legend, but probably don't. What type of circuit are the VoIP lines using, and do they work well? How about voice mail quality?

I don't know what kind of voip lines it uses(maybe I don't understand the question).
The voice quality is very good, I was quite surprised at that. According to my users it is very good. We have ATT to call Taiwan and China as we have offices there. The users call around 2-3 hrs per day and rack up about $3k/mo.
They always complain on the quality of the line with ATT and also with Qwest(before). Then we bought calling cards and were much cheaper and better connection but not all the time.
We used this voip for two days now and the users are very satisfied with the phone quality and tells me that there is no delay(latency) and connection is good. Only sometimes when the line is getting bad, they hear echoes and noise then drop off. They then redial and it is fine.
Can't beat this... free calls.
We bought the units from Taiwan. All I can see in the brochure is MOSA PBX gateway. I have no idea what company makes this.
We all tried MultiTech 8 port voip three years ago and it had a lot of latency and also tried super-phone(cell phone quality sound).
