Hi,

I have a SBS 2003 server and a Windows Server 2003 Standard ed. server with Sharepoint Services 3.0 installed. I only have a Linksys WRT310N so I can't do any decent routing for web hosting. The best I can do is port forwarding.

I can't use external port 80 because the SBS server needs it.

I am trying to access the Sharepoint site from the Internet but I can't get it to work. I tried forwarding port 90 to port 80 on the Sharepoint server, but when I try accessing the site by going to corp.whatever.ca:90, I get prompted for a username and password. After entering the info, IE returns Page Cannot be Displayed.

If anybody has any ideas of what the issue could be, please provide some guidance. If you need any more info, I will provide all I can.

Thanks much,
Yeprem

how? care to elaborate?

Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

I extended the web application through Application management in the Sharepoint Administration site.

Under Operations Management added alternate access mapping. Added the external link for the site and mapped it to the internal site address. Once those are added, sharepoint will "modify" the links for external users.

Added a reverse DNS record on the internal DNS server and forwarded a new port on the router to port 80 on the Sharepoint server.

If you need me to elaborate, please let me know.
