Access to new messages while logged in

Users are complaining that the old system would tell them if a new message came in while they were logged into voice mail. They would then have access to the new message/s without having to log in again.

We are using the Aria interface. Is there any way to do this in this system?

If a new one comes in it will tell you at the main menu as it does from the Octel. But it takes a few seconds to update and if you are not at the main menu you will not hear the update about a new message. If you send yourself one it can take 5 to 15 seconds to get to your mailbox. That is what i have seen.

Try sending yourself one from your mailbox and then sit at the mail menu. it will tell you at least it does on ours.

The octel has an option in the mailbox profile to alert you but not in MM.
