When I create the ICA connections on a 95/98 shared client machine, the connections can only be accessed by the individual that was logged on, when the connections were created. Each user that accesses the client, henceforth, needs to have connections created for them, and the connection INI files are saved under the user Profile directory.(I DON'T WANT THIS) I want to be able to boot up to the hard-drive, or logon to the network with my userid and install Program Neighborhood, create the connections, and have any user that logs on to the client access the the connections without being profiled. I am fairly certain it can be done, but the exact procedure appears to be somewhat elusive. Thanks in advance for any response.

Hi,

Once you have a client that is correctly configured, copy the .ini files from the users area to the program area but rename them .src

Log in as a different user and the PN program will copy the .src files to .ini files in the users profile.

You may need to mess around with this, it is also we documented in various books and training material.

Cheers,
Carl.

Hi,

Thanks for the information, but after doing that and logging on with a different user, I received the
Remote Application Runtime Error

It was looking for the published app in the users Application Data directory in the appsrv.ini file

Any other suggestions?

thanks
robin
