I used to be able to bring in a photo or artpiece into photoshop that I had worked on and saved (as psd file) previously in PS and when I reopened it at a later date, I could see the history of what I did last time I worked on it in the history pallette.
I can't seem to get it to do that anymore- is there something I need to reset to make that happen?
(Right now it opens with nothing in the history pallette.)
Thanks
bch

That's the way it is supposed to work. When you make a picture, it inputs whatever you do into the history, then when you quit, the history is always cleared.

I don't know why or how you managed to save your history file when you saved your .PSD file, but if anyone one know how to do that that would be greatly appreciated.

PS can do a lot, but it has never saved a history for me once I closed the file.

History is just a sequence of undo steps. I haven't ever seen a program that saves the undo steps after you close the file. Would be good if it did though, maybe it will in PS20+.... funkymonk B-)
