Access to Excell as formatted report

I am working on a price list database for customers and stuck with the following problem. I would like to output the data to Excell but to a template where I will have a defined format for the lay out. There will be only one template but not all parts of it will be needed for every customer, and I want to show only the parts where data is being put out to. The solution has to be automated to a one click button as people with different skills will use this.
Any help that can put me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. I am unfortunately not very skilled in VBA.

Hi!

Since we don't know exactly what will be needed your best bet is to record a macro in the template while doing the stuff you need to do in Access. Then, when you are done recording, go to Tools/Macro/Macros. Make sure your macro is highlighted and click Edit. This will take you to the VBA code window and you will see the code that Excel wrote. Most of this code will be transferrable to Access and will be implemented using the Excel workbook and worksheet objects.

hi Jeff
and thanks for taking the time to help me. I am very happy with that. The sugestion you propose I have tried but my problem is that I need 4 sections on the excell report where the coumns will be the same within each section but not same for all sections and the number or rows in each section will be different for each time I run this report.
I have this set up as a report in Access, would there be a way to "export" that report including formatting to excell ?
