Hi,
We have a database that's used by 3 people. There is no Security in it. The problem we're having is: if user1 is using it user2 or user3 can't access it. They have to wait until user1 is out of it. How can I make the database allow all users to log in to it and (update, add or delete etc..) information at the same time?
Ismail
Thanks in advance.

Hi

Three possibilities spring to mind immediately

A) are the users openning the database exclusively?

B) have yo set locking strategy to lock entire table?

C) you do realise that all users must have full (network) permissions in folder where database is stored (eg Read/Write/Create/Delete), to allow for handling of the lock file (*.ldb)

A) I do not know if the users are openning the database exclusively. If they are not then I need to make them open it exclsively?
B) I did not lock tables?
C) All users have full netwok permissions to the folder

Thanks for your quick reply
