I have created a form on Access that picks up the user name from a persons PC but the form that does this saves a temp copy of itself to the database which makes it increase in size dramatically (in 1 day went from 2 to 50 M/B) the temp forms can not be seen but if you compact database they are deleted. Is there anyway I can set the database to delete these forms on exit even though I know not what they are called?

Cheers

The form is being saved by the system automatically. I have no control over this. As soon as a person looks at form1 it saves an unseen temp copy. If 15 people us the database and save no data the size of the database increases by about 2 M/B??? We have deleted the tabels etc to see what is doing this and the only item left that can is a form that captures the LAN ID of someone logging in and saves it on the form. When someone else loggs into the database the form person 1 is in saves a copy of itself in the database which we can not see. The only way to remove this copy I found is to compact but perople are now in the database all the time so this can not be done now. Any other way?

This is beyond my knowledge. You might consider moving this thread to the Microsoft Access General Discussion Forum.
