I just got an NBX100 system and need help accessing it. What would the default IP address be?

That IP address isn't working. It is not in the 192.168.1.x range. Is there an easy way to reset the IP address, or to find the IP address by using the phones?

youll need to connect a DB9 male connector to the com port of the unit and then connect at 9600,8,1,n via hyper terminal.

Once you are at a prompt type nbxIpConfig and press enter. From here youll be prompmted to change the address. be sure and mind the format. once you have the address changed you can do a ctrl+r from the console to do a soft reboot.

Keep in mind every 10th reboot on this box will cause it to go into a disk check which takes up to an hour on systems that have more than 30-40 users. The most common mistake people make is unplugging the system and plugging it back in while its doing a disk check. I bet you wont guess what this causes the system to do? You guessed it, another disk check. stay aware of this.
