I did a few searches and came up empty handed... sorry if this has been covered many times:

I'm beginning work on a new Access db, and I need to build a switchboard (as usual).

in the past, I just did custom forms for everything. But since MS provides the Switchboard feature, I'm wondering if there's a good reason, i.e., is there some advantage to using the Switchboard feature, rather than creating all custom forms?

thanks for your help

The advantage for me is that the Switchboard manager is a wizard and will generate the code for me - but when looking at the generated form in design view you can't see the text on the labels - so formatting changes will have to be previewed in form view (that annoys me).

Personally I prefer building custom forms - cuz I find it easier to customize them... :)
