Access Suite Licensing (NEEDED???)

Hello!!


I have a PS4 Farm all set up and running fine. I'm adding another server (to make two total) to this farm now. I just ran through the PS4 Install and noticed that Access Suite Licensing was NOT INSTALLED...

Do I need it on this new/additional server to the farm? I know I don't need the console on additional servers in my farm...

I am using Access Suite Licensing and the console on the other PS4 server in the farm.

Please help!!

You only need 1 Access Suite Licensing server for your farm.
This is where your license file is held for your farm. It should of prompted you to install a license server with your first server.

It is not a "must" to install it on your first server but you will eventually need to install one.
You can always move your license server by running setup on another server and installing that portion of Citrix.
Then you will need to point to your new license server within the Farm.
You can do this by right-clicking on the top level of your farm and going into properties.
Once you are in the properties section you will see a "License Server" section.
Just input your new license server in there and you should be good.

Thanks Enigma- Exactly what I needed to know!

Question: If I rebuild my license server- do I need to install Citrix PS prior to installing the Licensing component? Or can I just install the Licensing component right on top of the OS (2003 Svr)...

You can install the licensing component on any 2k3 server at any time.
