I have the short format for Date and when I sort on the report, dates are not ascending as requested. They are listed in this order:
December 2007
February 2008
March 2008
May 2008
November 2007
October 2007

Which is not in ascending (or descending) order. How do I fit this?

This is a simmple DB which consists of list of physicians and the number of patients per month. I have each physician as a group and the MonYr and the #pts per month.

Thank you.

That is ascending order for an alphanumeric field.

What you have there is text, not actual dates.

What is the table type of your date field?
Databases are never simple if they're not normalize. Can you post your table structures - fieldnames, primary keys?
