I have an access database that that willnot allow me to open any of the reports in any view. If I try to create a new report using the wizzard it shows no feilds to add to the report. All forms and queries work fine. Also receive the following errors.

1. The instruction at "0x77fcc453" referenced memory at "0x53205445". The memory could not be "written".

2. The instruction at "0x77f8de3b" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory could not be "read".

Then click ok and the program terminates.

I have copied this to a local machine and get the same errors.

Sounds like time for the ol' Access "reboot".

Compact and Repair.

If that doesn't work, try creating a new db and importing all of the objects from the current db into the new one.

If that doesn't work, post back.

Thanks, I have done both of those things with no luck.

Create a new empty database. Import all objects from the original database into the new one. Then compact. Usually his will resolve most corruption.

The errors that you list, however, are associated with memory. These indicate that the memory modules (RAM) in your pc are not operating correctly. They may need to be reinstalled or replaced.

I've had these errors before, and once they start they don't go away.

I did have them on a server and moved to a local PC. Had the same issue on both machines, does it still sound like a RAM issue? Already tried a blank db and imported objects with no luck.

The database may be on the server but you still ran Access (the program) on your pc. Looks to me like it's a memory issue.

Interesting happing, I had a copy on my laptop, which is not on the network and it worked fine. I made a copy of it and put the copy on the network and had the same problem. Problem was on all machines on the network. As I have looked into it more it seems to affect all of access db on the network.

Thanks to all. The problme was an incorrect print driver. Never would have guessed that one.
