Access Reporting suming text groups

I have several reports like this

Type of interaction
town
Aldershot
Aldershot
Aldershot
Farnham
Winchester

I need to be able to total the number of times each town appears HOw do I go about asking for a separate total for each town
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
Build a totals query that groups by town and counts whatever. Then use this query as the record source for a subreport. Place the subreport in the Report Footer of your main report.
