I have a main table and a sub-table/form - I have created a query to include 1 field from the main table and 2 fields from sub-table/form. These being Customer Name, date and notes. How can I place the date field as thus in a report format:

Customer (date)Wk16 (date)Wk17 (date)Wk18

(notes) (notes) (notes)

In other words how can I align the date field horizontilly and align the the notes that apply to that date underneath the appropriate date.

The report I have at present list as follows:

Company (date)Wk16 (notes)
Company (date)Wk17 (notes)
Company (date)Wk18 (notes)

Which doesn't look good at all!

Hope you can help?

Need step by step instruction, very basic programmer in access!

You should probably group on Company and do another group on date. That will give you something like:

Companyname1
Date1 Note1
Date2 Note2
Date3 Note3

Company name2
Date1 Note 1
etc.
etc.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more assistance or if this does the trick.

Actually, you probably shouldn't do the second group on date. Because if each date you want to display is correctly linked to the CompanyName it applies to, grouping once on CompanyName should bring up all the dates (and comments, if they linked likewise) associated with it.
