Access Report using Multiple Crosstab Queries

hello world . . .

i have been asked to pull together dissimilar data on related components that we sell. . .

the data is tabulated in 4 distinct crosstabs. . . i prefer them seperate as each data set should be stand-alone. . . however, i want a report that will show the combined data for each component on a single page . . .

Since the crosstab query does calculations and since i have read that i need all the data in one place to do a report, i am stuck . . . the data i have is what i want . . . i just need to combine it. . . the crosstab columns are by quarter. . . there is one parameter (value)in each crosstab query.

What i want to do is be able to select one component, and show a report that lists all 4 crosstab values by quarter . . . I also want to be able to hit "ALL" and have the report spit out all the data, listing the components one at a time followed by the 4 rows of data by quarter (I hope this makes sense). . .

any suggestions?

Are the Row Headings generating basically the same values? If so, you could probably union all the crosstabs together into a single query for reporting. Or, you could combine the crosstabs and join them on the Row Heading field(s). There is an FAQ that shows how to create multiple values in a single crosstab at faq701-4524.

the row headings are different for each crosstab. . . and they are calculated in the crosstab (sums and counts) . . . and each crosstab has a different piece of information . . .as an example, think dates for the column headings and [samples orders, datasheet views, new opportunities, quotes, etc) as the individual values in each crosstab(these would be the y axis values on an xy plot) . . . the idea was to have each page of the report represents 1 component). . .

also, i tried generating a query from the crosstabs but my system doesn't like this . . . it just locks up as if crosstabs are the end of the line . . .
