I have a situation where ACCESS generates an estimate of construction work to be performed. Maybe 5 to 20 pages that works fine in many situations. However, changes in text, etc are sometimes required. Is there a way to "print" to a WORD document, then if changes are required let WORD be the source of the final output? All suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Warren.

Yepp, there is.
Here's the code you need:

DoCmd.OutputTo acReport, "YourReport", "RichTextFormat (*.rtf)", "YourLocationAndFileNameOnDisk", False, ""

The False refers to "AutoStart", you might as well choose True, if you wish.

OK? :)

Hi

You might also like to look at theer are routines to do this, and preserve lines, graphics etc

anothe rpossibility is to use automation to open a word template and populate it programatically from Access
