Access report problems

I have a report in access and what ever i do it wont put more than one record on a page and leaves about ten blank pages between each record so the size of the report is huge vastly bigger than it should be.

Please help as this is really stressing me out now.

I dont know if this helps but i just found out that when i go into the properties of the details and click can grow and can shrink to know it brings all the records together and reduces the report from 872 to four pages (its correct size) the only problem with this is that some of the infromation from the records is not displayed as it can not fit in.
