I have a report which lists all customers with certain criteria. The query the report is based on works fine, but for instance there is only four records on this report at the moment but the report is 56 pages long. There are loads of blank pages in between the records and each record is on a seperate page.

With four records this report should only be a page (perhaps two) long.

Does anyone have any suggestions or know any possible causes for this.

You could have the width of your report set larger than the width of a sheet of paper, causing it to wrap to the next page, leaving blank ones betweetn records

Do you have a bunch of page breaks in your report? Because that could cause the report to go crazy too.

Let me know if this helps your problem.

How do i find out about page breaks and if i have got them or not (treat me like an idiot as microsoft access reports are not my greatest strength).

Thanks in advance

In report design look on the left for a small row of black dots .... I've had this on other peoples reports and they can be hard to spot. No doubt there is a better way to check it out.

in design mode, you will see six dots next to each other. Will look something like this:
......

See if you have any of those floating around in there.
