Access Report from Word Document

Hey everyone,

Quick hopefully simple question. I have tried to import a Word Document as an Access report. Reason being it is a complex document to duplicate.

However when I try to import it, it seems that it doubles itself on top of each other. The original is there and then it copies one about 2 inches down and to the right.

I attached a part of the image. I can't release it all due to policies.

But as you can see it copies the entire document twice. I tried exporting it as a PDF and when I try to import it, all that shows up is a 2x2 inch white square.

On another thing is that the Word document is an editable one in the matter that there are custom fields that you can enter text into for modification purposes.

Also when i double click on the document in the Access Report to edit it, it shows it normal without the duplication. However in print preview and print it doubles the document

Hi,

1) Change the font to a FIXED PITCH FONT, like Courier.

2) Change the orientation to LANDSCAPE

3) Use an oversize paper like LEGAL

4) Reduce the font size

I tried all 4 of those and none of them worked. I did notice though when I changed the size of the font that the shadows (or the multiple) size font wasn't effected.

Also if I save the word document as an HTML page it seems that there are two pages instead of one, like an overlay.

What does that mean?

What font did you select?

What font size?

What is the total length of the longest line?

Please post an example from your report.

I chose Courier New, size 8.

The longest line would be "Has intenational material data system (IMDS) Data been submitted? then it has check boxes YES NO N/A and IMDS Number:"

On the Image I posted earliar you can see two different Headers the PPQP part. I changed the font size to 8 and one header went to 8 and the other one stayed the same size.

If i view the word Document in the Web Layout it has two pages of information. One seems to be the overlay where you can edit the information and check check boxes where the underlay seems to be the outline or template. If I delete part of the Overlay it then deletes the corresponding underlay.

If I could delete just all the Overlay I could make it work.
