I'm trying to get a report to close the spaces if there is no or null data in the text block. My report is going to be a checklist for my processors. I don't want blank spaces where ther is no data. Instead I would like the report to close up the space where ther is no data. I've used the Can Grow/Can Shrink properties but all that does is hide the blocks if there is no data, but it leaves open space when it prints. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I can get this to work when...

The text box the only thing on that particular detail line.

And

Be sure to set the Can grow and Can shrink property for the detail line, as well as the text box. Set them all to yes.

You can use the can grow/can shrink to do this. In the design view of the report make the text boxes (or whatever it is you are trying to hide) very small. If there is data the field will expand to show it, if not it will stay small.
