We have about 4 users who are not allowed access to the internet because that privilege for them has been suspended or there is no need for them to use it. We disable the internet for them by removing the gateway ip on their system. But inorder to get email they need to access the email server which is not on their LAN but on a remote WAN node which would require them to have the internet. Currently they are using our old mdaemon email software which is on their LAN but we do not want to have this old email software active anymore and only use the one email server that is on the remote node. Any work around ideas.
thanks

Instead of giving them a default gateway, just put a route in for the remote email server via the usual default gateway. If they try to access anything else, their system won't have a route for it. Traffic will only be sent to the gw if the destination is the mail server.

Chris.
