I need to access our registry to get the value for a new string value.

We currently have it setup to use a dll with private functions etc, but I want to add the function to the ASP and bypass the dll.

Can anyone provide an example of a funtion that can do this?

Thanks in advance.

The FileSystemObject is a DLL ... so is ADO ...

I'd just write a simple COM DLL that is createable like the FSO and ADO and use it to read the registry.

... do you mean to edit the system registry or the IIS Metabase?
