Hi, maybe anyhone has got a hint for me:

Having Access2010 with a main form, from where I am able to call other forms. (Main Form -> New Record, Main Form -> Records marked as X etc.) So these buttons just open a new form with a filter.

It happens from time to time, that I try to open another form from the main form - and the access window disappears in the background, behind all the other running app windows (Firefox, Explorer, Word ...) Of course, clicking the taskbar icon brings it back, but it is quite annoying, to click on a button and waiting for the new form to open ... and disappeared.

Second - the other way round: browsing the internet, writing a letter, just changing the app on the taskbar eg. from Firefox to Word brings up Access - and mostly with the main form, even if another form is open. I am only able to get the other form active with alt-tab.

Isn´t that weird?

Could it be the cause, that Acc2010 runs via MS HyperV? Or did I miss something in the Acc config, or did I something wrong?

I will send any further info that you may need to kick me in the right direction.

Thank you!

Kind regards
Mirko

One possibility is code running in the main form. For instance, if there is anything running in relation to the timer, it will run at the given time regardless of anything else. So if you have code set to refresh the form and/or maximize or restore it or something, that might be that part.

As for the database being minimized, my guess is also code again - within whatever event takes you from one form to another, such as a button click.

Thank you - I will check the points - especially the timer thing.

Kind regards
Mirko
