I am new to access and I have a stock database where in the description line I have duplicated items due to input errors. They have given a new part number to the same items. But the problem is for example:

R227 12x610 p60 Belt also description can read 12 x 610 P 60 R227. Is there any way of getting a query to find the two same products. hope this makes sense.

Thank you

I think you would have to break the search down into 2 or 3 separate components.

eg. search for 'R227' AND '12 x 610' AND 'P60'.

I think you would do better to try and fix the import errors.

Thank you for your advice but it is not import errors it is manual imputters who load up the stock file.

use the find duplicates query wizard in Access 97 or 2000.
