How does the access-profile work,

here there is case where the extreme summit48si is connected to a Cisco 2950 Layer 2. Cisco 2950 Layer 2 is then connected to a Cisco 2801 running IOS and OSS Server engine. CISCO 2801 and OSS Server are both in different subnet.

When I configured the extreme, I created an access-profile for the OSS but didn't create any for the CISCO 2801 or add the CISCO 2801 on to the access-profile.

Will this prevent any network connected to CISCO 2801 from connecting to the extreme.I was not able to ping the Extreme IP address at all. But from the outside network connected to CISCO 2801 I could ping the upstream interface on Cisco 2950 Layer 2 switch.

Extreme does have static routes to both the outside network and OSS server network.
